Greetings Readers, Viewers, Meanderers and Friends!

Well, Our Blog was a work in progress- but, We haven't worked on it in 6 months!
Life has a way of keepin you busy...
In Our lil' World, things that don't scream and cry for attention, tend to go by the wayside...

So, without further adieu- I, Rachael (aka Bonk), will assemble an impromptu montage of mind fodder for your pleasure...

Please enjoy some Randomness, and remember-
         "different strokes for different folks."

It's March- time for March Madness everywhere!  Spring is almost upon us, soon we will be basking in sunny days, surrounded by flowers, foliage and fauna...

   Time for Gardening!!  <doin' a happy Dance!>

We have a helluva Garden planned...
~7 varieties of Tomato
~Zucchini & Yellow Squash
~5 varieties of Bell Pepper
~Jalapenos
~Tabasco Peppers
~Cayennes
~2 varieties of Onions
~Garlic
~Red, Golden & White Fingerling Potatoes
~Basil, Dill, Oregano, Chives, Garlic Chives, Parsley & Cilantro

We utilize both Traditional & Container Gardening in Our Yard.  We have plenty of space to put it all in the ground, but We choose to plant our tomatoes and peppers in containers to allow for moving them to follow the sun.  We have 3 individual dirt beds, 3 halfsunk container beds and countless pots/boxes/planters.  Our half-shaded yard is surrounded by huge, mature Pecan Trees!  We also have a Black Walnut Tree, a mature Grapevine gone wild, an Elderberry Bush and a plethora of prolific Aloe plants...
I hope to install a raised bed this year,  the soil quality of our little town is crap.  We have been saving eggshells, coffee grounds, veggie bits, banana peels and the like- making our own compost for a couple years now.  We live on the Delmarva Peninsula, only 10 miles from the Marshlands and Beaches.  I've heard that freshwater Marshmud is the thing to use in making your own potting soil.  So, between Our Organic Compost Mix, the rich freshwater Marshmud, stolen Horse Poo,  Pecan Shell Mulch and a few bags of pro garden soil blended in- we oughta have a very happy Garden!  :)
So Mote it Be!

~> Wisdom from the late, great Uncle Terence..

We have to stop CONSUMING our culture. We have to CREATE culture. DON’T watch TV, DON’T read magazines, don’t even listen to NPR. Create your OWN roadshow. The nexus of space and time where you are — NOW — is the most immediate sector of your universe. And if you’re worrying about Michael Jackson or Bill Clinton or somebody else, then you are disempowered. You’re giving it all away to ICONS. Icons... which are maintained by an electronic media so that, you want to dress like X or have lips like Y… This is shit-brained, this kind of thinking. That is all cultural diversion. What is real is you, and your friends, your associations, your highs, your orgasms, your hopes, your plans, your fears. And, we are told No, you’re unimportant, you’re peripheral — get a degree, get a job, get a this, get that, and then you’re a player. You don’t even want to play that game. You want to reclaim your mind and get it out of the hands of the cultural engineers who want to turn you into a half-baked moron consuming all this trash that’s being manufactured out of the bones of a dying world.
